The Beginning of a New Season

The new season started out for me basically on new years day after I drove from Kamloops to the Toronto area on a mission to ride indoor all winter. One of my closest friends Brett Rheeder lives about 25 minutes away from Joyride 150, the biggest indoor bikepark in Canada.

Over the last 4 years I hadnt owned a hardtail so I knew going there for the winter was going to be a huge change from the downhill bikes I usually ride. The goal for the winter was to learn a bunch of new tricks and bike handling skills that I could transfer onto my bigger bikes and create a little more unique style for myself.

After riding there for a couple months Brett and I made the drive back to Kamloops to get the perfect Kamloops spring riding conditions. Riding dirt and trails again put such a huge smile on both of our faces. We knew from that point on there wasnt going to be much more indoor riding and that the season in Canada had officially kicked off.

At this point I was on borrowed bikes but feeling great and I couldnt wait for the arrival of my new Commencal's to show up!
