Lavan Apparel Edit

So part way through June myself and Caton Garvie started shooting an edit for Lavan apparel. We got one day in and kept trying to find more time but our schedules werent lining up. We finally got another day in recently and were able to smash out a quick video that im super stoked on.

Crankworx

This year I was definitely the most prepared for crankworx I have ever been. Training hard mentally and physically. I had a spot in the speed n style, which I was super amped for. I was also going to be in the whip off, air dh and pumptrack challenge. Literally the first lap down the mountain not even a quarter way into a trail I slammed harder than I slammed in a long time. Diagnosis was Torn ac joint in my shoulder, concussion a nice case of the swellbow and a sore body. I was super bummed but tried to make the best of the sitaution, it was still super sick to see all of my friends from around the world and plan out some crazy trips in europe next season that are going to be all time.

Sun Peaks Freeride Camps

At the end of every July Myself, Dylan Sherrard, Matty Miles coach a week long freeride camp at Sunpeaks Resort. Which In my opinion is one of the Gnarliest bike parks there is. This year we had a special coach, Brett Tippie, Join us for 3 of the days and the kids were amped! I really love seeing the talent in kids so young and makes me wish I had started earlier. There were forsure a couple kids in the camps with bright futures, Two kids Jack and John were sending 30-35 foot doubles and they are 12! Everything went smooth and there were no serious injuries which is always a positive. A huge thanks to Sunpeaks aswell for hooking us up with a really rad condo for the week!

Shooting for "Underexposed"

After coming back from Whistler I had receieved a message from a friend of mine Mason Mashon asking to be a part of his new show. Mason had recently gotten the chance to have his own show on national TV. The show follows him around as a photographer and shows the steps and work it takes to get one single photo and the process of getting it published. We shot for 3 days and it was super fun and we got some really banger photos. Highlight of the week forsure was that my brother and roommate had just bought a brand new jet boat and the first time it was in the water it had bikes and a camera crew in it heading to a sick zone!

The show should be airing Spring 2014. Not too sure when photos will be released.

Lone Wolf

The first week of July Myself, Brendan Howey and Matt Brooks were planning on heading to whistler to shoot an edit together for Commencal. A couple weeks before hand Howey crashed and was told he sprained his wrist, couple weeks later he had a check up and they realised he broke his scaphoid again. Out for the summer.

With Howey out of commission Brooks and I headed to Whistler for 3 days and shot some fun stuff. Whistler is really hard to shoot since everyone in the world has basically shot there so we just had fun with it and shot stuff that I would normally do/ride when I cruise to whistler.

The arrival of my bikes was a long awaited one, but so worth it. I had only been on borrowed bikes riding a little and keeping steady at the gym so I would be ready to shred once my new toys arrived. The frames showed up first week of June and as soon as they were built up I headed to Whistler with Brett Rheeder, Harrison Mendel, Noah Brousseau and Rupert walker to break the bad boys in!
